Job Description:
The research assistant is expected to work on a research project related to augmented reality (AR)/virtual reality (VR) to enhance collaborative teaching and learning experience. This project aims to develop BIM-based AR/VR prototypes for collaborative teaching and learning.

Interested and demonstrated research experiences related to two or more of the following areas: 1) Construction engineering management; 2) Image processing; 3) Engineering informatics; 4) Automation in construction; 5) sustainability and green building; 6) BIM and GIS; 7) Wireless sensor network; 8) Machine learning and big data analytics; 9) Information Modelling.
Assistantship Package:
HK$17,500 per month for 12 months per year. Travel expenses will be covered for research-related activities (conference, data collection, research exchange and etc.)

Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship
In case you have a high GPA with a strong publication record, you are encouraged to apply for Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship. The annual stipend of HKPFS is HK$322,800/month. In addition, a conference and travel allowance of HK$13,500 per year is provided for HKPFS awardees.
1) Post-doctoral Researcher in Information Technology (open until filled)
Duties:
The appointee will assist the PI in the research projects – “Application of Computer Vision for Autonomous Jobsite Monitoring” and other IT-related research projects.
Qualifications:
Applicants for this position should have an earned doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline or equivalent qualifications and must have no more than three years of post-qualification experience at the time of application.
Applicants should be proficient in Python and C#.

2) Postdoctoral Fellowship (Deadline: Oct 18, 2021)
The Scheme aims at building up a pool of local research talent to sustain Hong Kong’s competitiveness and propel the development of the higher education sector by providing support to promising local and non-local young research talent in building up research and development (R&D) careers in Hong Kong for 36 months of full-time appointment as a postdoctoral fellow under two streams: (i) Science, Medicine, Engineering and Technology; (ii) Humanities, Social Sciences and Business Studies. RGC will provide the awardee an annual stipend of HK$396,600 for
i) Awardee’s basic salary and
ii) Conference and research-related travel allowance
Eligibility of the Applicants:
1) Obtain legal right to work and reside in Hong Kong during the fellowship period; AND
2) (i) have obtained/been conferred a Ph.D. degree or an equivalent qualification not more than three years before the year of nomination, OR
(ii) complete the requirement of a PhD degree or an equivalent qualification within six months from the closing date of nomination;
AND
3) be supported by a UGC-funded university at which he/she wishes to hold the fellowship.
